Equipment

• Frisbees & kites can be purchased as basic models for under $10 each, or you can opt for specialized models. Check online prices.

Licenses

None required.

Where and When to Go

• Open all year, can be played just about anywhere: backyards, parks, beaches, etc.

• Kites need to be mindful of wires and trees.

Notes

• Frisbee can be played competitively, such as in Frisbee golf, football, or canine competitions. Go online to learn how to get involved.

• Kite flying also has some competitive aspects, but it’s most enjoyed at the festival level, with numerous kites of various shapes and sizes flying at once. Check out Long Beach festival photos online to see how much fun it is.
